Final Project Proposal

Please write up your first 1-2 page draft of idea(s) for a final project in this class. While you will not be specifically held to anything you write in this proposal, it is nonetheless a good idea to specify as much as you can now, so that my grading for it in the future is simplified

Intended personal outcome:

What I mean here is likely something that falls somewhere between the following two ends of a spectrum:

Purely a learning experience with code that I'll likely never touch again

vs.

A complete, finalized, production ready application or tool.

Describe where you think you're going, and be sure to consider the very important concept of SCOPE here, namely you may also want to let me know what you're NOT trying to do.

Intended CODE outome

What was the goal of your code to actually do? What processes was it originally designed to execute? Ditto on SCOPE

(Who is it FOR is a good question here; one point that I hope people begin to think more about is, e.g. "must you always be coding an app that a million people will use?")

Name the Technologies

e.g (Languages, Frameworks, Libraries, Programs, Other people's code) you intend to use. You should likely include WHY you're choosing these particular technologies, and why these over others?

Note: While I'm expecting a good amount of "coding" on your part, please let me know if you feel or think that may not be the case and we can discuss.

Collaboration?

Are you at all interested in working with others? At what level? Again, this is a spectrum from

I literally don't want anyone to even know what I'm doing

I strongly feel like I *need* to work with someone else.
